Tell your cameras what to watch for, in plain English
No rules to set up and no menus to learn. Type what matters to you, the way you would brief a security guard, and the AI watches every camera you switch it on for. It understands what is happening in the scene, not just that something moved, so a cleaner at 9 pm is logged while a stranger at the front desk gets an alert.

Hundreds of everyday objects recognised as they happen, so alerts are about people and vehicles, not shadows and swaying trees.
Recognise enrolled staff and flag unknown people at a door or gate.

How much does cloud CCTV cost in South Africa?
With Intervid, cloud recording costs from R125 per camera a month for 1 day of footage to R999 for a full year, excl. VAT. Most businesses choose 30 days at R299 per camera. If we supply the cameras, add R279 per camera and R299 per site a month on a 36-month agreement.
Can I use my existing cameras?
Usually, yes. Most modern IP cameras connect directly or through a small gateway. We confirm which of yours will work on the free site survey.
What is included if you supply the cameras?
New 1080p cameras, installation, a site kit with a network switch, cleaning and adjustment visits, remote and on-site support, and a free swap if a camera fails. The cameras remain Intervid’s for the 36-month term.
How long is the contract?
On your own cameras, the contract is month to month with 30 days’ notice (one calendar month). With cameras included, it is a 36-month agreement, and cancelling early requires settlement of the remaining term.
What is the difference between AI Light and AI Heavy?
AI Light analyses a camera when something moves, which suits most indoor and entrance cameras. AI Heavy analyses continuously, for scenes with constant movement such as gates, yards and roads. Both are chosen per camera.
Can I ask the AI questions in plain English?
Yes. Type what you want watched for, such as “let me know if anything unusual happens at the office after hours”, and you get an alert with the clip and a short description when it happens. You can also ask about recorded footage, such as “was anyone at the gate between 2 and 4 this morning?”, and get the matching clips back. It works on any camera with AI Light or AI Heavy switched on, including cameras you already have.
Where is my footage stored, and is it POPIA compliant?
Your footage is stored on servers in South Africa, in Amazon Web Services’ Cape Town data centres, so it stays in the country. Only the people you give access to can view it, which helps you meet your obligations under POPIA.
Do you install cloud CCTV for homes?
Yes. Cloud CCTV works for homes too, as long as the home has a reliable, stable fibre or fibre-equivalent internet connection. We check your line on the scoping call before anything is installed.
